New to Stream

Black Mirror, Netflix

Season 7 of Charlie Brooker's dark, satirical anthology series returns with six brand new episodes, including a sequel to the sci-fi adventure USS Callister.

The cast across this latest run includes the likes of Chris O’Dowd, Peter Capaldi, Emma Corrin, Paul Giamatti and Rashida Jones.

Should be fun seeing where Brooker leads this latest run of the series given the increasingly bizarre and dystopian nature of real life.

The Ex Wife, Paramount+

The first season of this psychological drama was based on Jess Ryder's 2022 novel of the same name and featured Tasha (Celine Buckens), who had the perfect house, a wonderful husband, Jack (Tom Milson) and a beautiful young daughter.

Her happiness was disrupted by Tasha’s husband's ex-wife Jen (Janet Montgomery), who wouldn’t leave them alone. A web of lies developed as things weren't quite as they seemed.

This second season will be an original story as the book was covered first time out.

The new four-parter will pick up three years after the conclusion of the first season: Tasha is now hiding in Cyprus with her daughter Emily (Liberty Miller), while Jen (now played by Katie McGrath) has officially moved on and is getting ready to walk down the aisle for a second time.

North of North, Netflix

Moonrise, Netflix

In the not-too-distant future, humanity has established a loosely organized world government with everything managed by an international AI network called Sapientia.

People live peaceful lives by loyally obeying what appear to be rational decisions.
