Coronation Street's newest star Natalie Anderson says fans are in for a treat while they wait to see if her character Danielle will discover that her husband Theo (James Cartwright) is in a relationship with Todd (Gareth Pierce).
Anderson, who is best known for her roles in Emmerdale and The Royal, told the Coronation Street website that she is "thrilled" to be playing a character as complex as Danielle.
"She's a deeply layered woman and it's been wonderful to explore some of those layers as I've gone on this journey with her," Anderson said.
"She's also a bit of a shapeshifter, so you never really know what you're going to get, and I've absolutely loved playing that. There's lots of surprises with her!"

When asked if she thinks Danielle has "any idea" about Theo's big secret, Anderson replied: "I think she's aware that all isn't well, but I don't think his secret is what she's alluding to in any way.
"They have been married a very long time and whilst there have been strains in the marriage when you have been married for such a long time, those things are bound to happen anyway. So, I don't think she's thinking it's anything more than the strains of a long-term marriage."
"I think they've been a happy family unit, but with many years together, managing teenagers, maybe complacency has crept in," Anderson continued.
"I don't think she suspects anything else at all though. If anything, maybe she would suspect other women could turn his head."
"If the family were to split, I think she would be extremely protective of the children because family is everything to her," added Anderson.
"I certainly can't imagine it being smooth sailing with everyone going off happily into the distance."
When asked if Danielle would start afresh with someone new on the cobbles in the event of a split, Anderson laughed: "Steve's always a good catch, isn't he? Everybody loves Steve! Or even Roy maybe. He comes from a respectable background, but Danielle could end up throwing rolls across the cafe at him!"
Coronation Street airs on Virgin Media One and ITV on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.
