Keith Margo

Spearheaded by Dave, Side 4 Collective brings an eclectic array of Irish and international artists together, sculpting songs from scratch using Dave’s pre-written drum patterns.

Me & Vincent is described as "a love letter to the urban and suburban communities of Dublin. The youth are the life and soul, humour and character of our beautiful city.

"The protagonists in the song’s lyrics are on a fun journey that pays homage to how Dublin Youth bring a sense of adventure and colour to our city."

Tell us three things about yourself . . .

Stubborn. Adventurous. Easy going.

How would you describe your music?

Experimental, groove-based, collaborative

Who are your musical inspirations?

The Clash, Led Zeppelin, Rollerskate Skinny, Radiohead, Fugazi, Ella Fitzgerald, Nina Simone. (And all the great artists who I have played with and have put up with me).

What was the first gig you ever went to?

The second gig I ever went to was Thin Lizzy at the RDS. Wow! It blew my 14-year-old socks off. The first? I’m too ashamed to say!

What was the first record you ever bought?

Off The Wall by Michael Jackson.

What’s your favourite song right now?

Here’s The Thing by Fontaines D.C.

Favourite lyric of all time?

"Early one morning, With time to kill, I see the gallows, Up on the hill, And out in the distance, A trick of the brain, I see a lone rider, Crossing the plain, And he'd come to fetch me, To see what they'd done, And we'll ride together, to kingdom come, I pray for God's mercy, For soon I'll be dead" - I Hung My Head by Johnny Cash/Sting.

If you could only listen to one song for the rest of your life, what would it be?

Golden Brown by The Stranglers.
