Tell us three things about yourself . . .

I'm a full time musician, I love cups of tea and I am a proud county Clare woman. Up the banner!

How would you describe your music?

I have roots in both classical and Irish traditional music, but my style is definitely a fusion of multiple genres , I love playing everything from jazz, country, classical to Irish traditional music.

Who are your musical inspirations?

Stevie Wonder, Jacob Collier, Taylor Swift, Ed Sheeran, Davy Spillane, Finneas, Dolly Parton.

What was the first gig you ever went to?

I went to see the Chieftains in Ennis and It was absolutely phenomenal. They put on an incredible show.

What was the first record you ever bought/downloaded?

I remember buying Taylor Swift's album and Hillary Duffs first album the same day after my communion. I got a Walkman for my communion and I had one of those CD folder holders and had Dermot Byrne’s album, Taylor Swift, the Kilfenora Ceili Band and Hillary Duff on rotation.

What’s your favourite song right now?

Rock 'n' Roll Kids and Bed I Made. I can go through phases of listening to the same song for weeks on repeat and these are on repeat the last few weeks.

Favourite lyric of all time? ‘

'I don’t believe that anybody feels the way I do about you now’ - Wonderwall by Oasis. I think it’s just so powerful and everyone has experienced that emotion before in relationships. Life can be so fleeting but in any given moment, to feel deeply for a person is a beautiful feeling.

If you could only listen to one song for the rest of your life, what would it be?

Ohhh this is a tricky one. I think I would have to go with Neon by John Mayer. If I had the rest of my life to listen to this , I might finally master the guitar riff in it. If you have tried to learn it, you’ll understand what I mean!
