The upcoming thriller Drop has an unmistakable Irish touch, with key talent from Ireland shaping its eerie and suspenseful world.

Production designer Susie Cullen, known for her work on Abigail and Sexy Beast, was tasked with creating the film's central location - an upscale Chicago restaurant - right here in Ireland.

The fully functional set was meticulously constructed at Ardmore Studios in Co Wicklow, showcasing Ireland's growing reputation as a hub for high-end international productions.

"When a story unfolds primarily in one space, that location becomes a character in itself," Cullen explains.

"We wanted the restaurant to feel sophisticated yet subtly menacing, a place that could be luxurious one moment and a trap the next."

Bringing the film's tense action sequences to life was Aoife Bailey, one of Ireland's most in-demand stunt performers.

Having previously worked on Abigail and Bad Sisters, Bailey doubled for lead actress Meghann Fahy, helping deliver the film's most intense physical moments.

Fahy, best known for The White Lotus, was full of praise: "Aoife is absolutely unbelievable.

"She made me feel so confident in the stunt work - we really got to do some cool stuff together."

Drop is in cinemas on 11 April.
