21 new acts added to Forest Fest line-up in Laois

Stockton's Wing, Beoga, Kan, Moxie, and Niall McCabe are among the new acts who have joined the Forest Fleadh Stage line-up at Forest Fest in Emo Village, Co. Laois from 25 to 27 of July.

Hunger of the Skin, Brian Finnegan, Buille and Laura Jo, Buíoch, Eva Coyle, Eric de Buitléir, The Oars, Madra Salach, Cua, Chris Comhaill, Cormac Looby, Sean Lyons and Eva Carroll, Meadbh Hayes and Alltacht will also play the arts and music event, which is now in its fourth year.

They join previously announced acts Mary Coughlan, Sharon Shannon, Frankie Gavin and De Dannan and Kevin Conneff and The Dublin for the Fleadh Stage.

Manic Street Preachers, Franz Ferdinand, Travis, Orbital, The Stranglers, Billy Bragg, Peter Hook & The Light, Reef, Kula Shaker, Therapy?, and Teenage Fanclub are also among the acts playing at the 12,000 capacity Forest Fest.

Forest Fest Founder Phillip Meagher says: "I’ve been thrilled by the success of the Forest Fleadh Stage over the last few years it has really become the 'party central’ of the festival and I’m so looking forward to welcoming to Emo the very best that Ireland has to offer in traditional and folk music.

"I think we have curated a wonderful selection of bands this year and I absolutely love the vibrancy and raw emotion that this particular stage should generate throughout the weekend.

"Many of our guests come for the other stages and end up spending a lot of time immersed in the fantastic atmosphere of this particular tent; they come away with a great appreciation for the quality of the musicianship and talent of all of these bands."
