The Yershova Sisters have emerged victorious in TG4's Réalta agus Gaolta 2025 after eight weeks of intense competition.

In the final, the five sisters bested the Furey Cousins - represented by Donnor and Fin - who finished in second place.

The talented quintet, consisting of Kseniia (19), Yevlaliia (17), Olena (15), Nataliia (12) and Sofiia (8)), impressed both judges and audiences from the outset with their irish-Ukrainian folk tunes on violin and cello.

Their winning performance on Sunday night featured a striking rendition of Jack Horner's Braveheart theme.

Having relocated from Ukraine to Ireland over three years ago to escape the war, the sisters quickly captured the attention of their new community in Listowel, who donated instruments to supper their musical endeavours. Two of the sisters are also currently studying music at the Cork School of Music.

In addition to lifting the trophy, the group received a prize of €2,000.

You can watch their performance on the TG4 Player.
