Kildare band Picture This have launched a nationwide photo challenge inspired by their latest single, Let's Try Love.
They’re asking fans across Ireland to capture a photo based on the theme of the song - and the band themselves will be picking the winners who will then have their photo featured in an exhibition in Dublin later this year.
Picture This are running the competition with printing company CEWE, with entries are open now until 31 May.
"We’re thrilled to be collaborating with CEWE again to merge the powerful worlds of music and photography," said Ryan Hennessy, lead singer of Picture This.
"As musicians, we have a deep appreciation for all forms of art and we know that CEWE shares our passion for both music and photography."
Picture This, whose hits include Get on My Love, Addicted to You and Take My Hand, released their latest album, Parked Car Conversations, last year.
CEWE run global photography competition the CEWE Photo Award, which attracts entries from hundreds of thousands of photographers of all skill levels, from casual smartphone photographers to passionate photography enthusiasts, and runs every two years.
"We're delighted to team up with Picture This again to inspire a new generation of music and photography lovers in Ireland," said Steve Manfield, Marketing Director of CEWE Ireland.
"At CEWE, we celebrate photographers of all skill levels, from seasoned professionals to smartphone enthusiasts, and this competition truly embodies those values.
"We can’t wait to see how the thousands of Picture This fans around Ireland take on this special challenge and are really looking forward to working with the band to judge the entries," Mr. Manfield added. "We will then celebrate with an exhibition of the winners in Dublin in the autumn."
The German-based manufacturer has been in Ireland for a number of years with CEWE photo printing stations located in 63 Boots stores across the Republic of Ireland with further expansion of the stations expected in 2025.
