Jamie Foxx and his daughter Corinne Foxx have revealed that they are in Ireland filming season eight of their US quiz show Beat Shazam.

The Oscar winner posted an Instagram video filmed at the Powerscourt Hotel in Co Wicklow in which he was joined by his daughter and co-host.

"Hello! We're in Ireland," said Corinne Foxx.

"We are in Ireland shooting season eight," continued Jamie Foxx.

"Beat Shazam!" Corinne Foxx enthused.

Beat Shazam is described by its US network Fox as "an interactive game show that pits teams of two against the clock and each other as they attempt to identify the biggest hit songs of all time".

"In the end, the team with the most money banked will go against Shazam, the popular song identification app, for the chance to win up to $1 million," according to the show's website.

Jamie Foxx also told his social media followers that he is "about to get up back on the joke train" and continue his career in stand-up comedy with live shows on tour.

The Ray and Collateral star thanked fans for their support and concluded: "And thank you to Ireland for letting us come here and stretch our legs and do our thing."

In his recent comedy special Jamie Foxx: What Had Happened Was…, which was released on Netflix in December, Foxx revealed that a near-death experience he suffered in 2023 was "a brain bleed that led to a stroke".
