Carol appeals to Fergal to show Liam mercy and help him to save the project in Friday's Fair City on RTÉ One and the RTÉ Player.
In Thursday's episode, Fergal goaded Liam into punching him in front of a potential backer - all part of Fergal and Jacinta's vendetta against Liam.
On Friday, Carol says to Fergal: "You got your revenge, but it's not just him who suffers. If you keep going and Second Chances goes under... it's the kids who need it. Do you want that on you?"
"Drop the assault accusation," Carol concludes.
