All 10 episodes of the acclaimed Yellowstone spin-off 1883 are now available on the RTÉ Player with the Western miniseries also airing on RTÉ2 from Tuesday 25 March at 9:30pm.
Teeing up what's ahead for fans, the RTÉ Player said: "The series stars Tim McGraw, Faith Hill, and Sam Elliott and follows the Dutton family as they embark on a journey west through the Great Plains toward the last bastion of untamed America.
"It's a stark retelling of Western expansion, and an intense study of one family fleeing poverty to seek a better future in America's promised land: Montana.
"Elliott plays Shea Brennan, a tough-as-nails, handsome cowboy with immense sadness in his past. He has the Herculean task of guiding a group from Texas to Montana, and he does not suffer fools.
"McGraw and Hill portray James and Margaret Dutton, the patriarch and matriarch of the Dutton family, respectively.
"The story is chronologically the first of several prequels to writer and co-creator Taylor Sheridan's hugely popular Yellowstone and details how the Duttons came to own the land that became the Yellowstone Ranch.
"The compelling drama Yellowstone was the sixth most popular programme streamed on RTÉ Player in 2024 with 4.5 million streams."
