It is reported that Saoirse Ronan is to star opposite Elvis Oscar nominee Austin Butler in Deep Cuts, a love story based on the just-published novel of the same name by Canadian author Holly Brickley.
US entertainment trade publication Deadline, which first reported the news, says the film will be directed by Sean Durkin (The Iron Claw, The Nest, Martha Marcy May Marlene) with Ronan also among the producers.

"Set in the 2000s, Deep Cuts is a love story about two music-obsessed twentysomethings navigating the messy realities of ambition, belonging, and adulthood over the course of an era-defining decade," says Deadline.
Commenting on the film news on Instagram, author Brickley wrote: "I will never understand how I got so lucky."
Ronan was most recently seen on screens in the recovery drama The Outrun and the WWII story Blitz, winning the IFTA for Best Lead Actress - Film for The Outrun and Best Supporting Actress - Film for Blitz at the Irish Film & Television Academy Awards earlier this month.
