EastEnders in fight to survive in Wednesday's 40th anniversary special

EastEnders is pulling out all the stops for its 40th anniversary episode on Wednesday night as terror hits Albert Square.

Tuesday's episode saw gas cannisters exploding in the Queen Vic as Honey and Billy celebrated their nuptials.

Releasing photos from Wednesday's episode, the BBC soap said: "It's a fight for survival as Walford residents trapped inside The Vic battle to escape with newlyweds Honey and Billy clutching each other in the rubble.

"While Suki, Avani, and Nugget look for an escape, Alfie tries to keep the terrified Slaters calm.
