Donegal born Adgy, who is the latest act aiming to impress at Eurosong 2025 and represent Ireland at the 2025 Eurovision Song Contest, has said his entry is "unique" with a "strong Celtic influence".
Adgy's song, Run into the Night, is a Celtic pop anthem written by Adgy and his sister Jennie and produced by Eurovision legend Ivan Klymenko (Kalush - Stefania, the 2022 winner).
Speaking on The Ray D'Arcy Show on RTÉ Radio 1 on Wednesday, Adgy said of the track: "It was co-written with my sister, we wrote the song in Donegal, she plays the fiddle.
"We had a jam session, we sat and organically wrote the song. She's going to join me on the Eurosong stage.
"This song is really unique. My kind of music is pop, it's EDM, it's very contemporary, but there's a very strong Celtic influence in this track. It comes from the fiddle, it resonates in the tone and the lyrics."
