In Tuesday's episode, a cunning James managed to glean more information about Laura's murder from an unsuspecting Tyler.
Later, in his new role as a garda informant, James met Fidelma - telling her that he thought he knew where the murder weapon could be found.
However, in Thursday's episode, Fidelma meets James in The Hungry Pig and says: "James Rafferty, I'm arresting you on suspicion of knowingly making false claims and thereby wasting the time of An Garda Síochána."
