James hits the roof in Sunday's Fair City on RTÉ One and the RTÉ Player.
In Sunday's episode, James is embarrassed when Maxine mentions him signing on.
She offers to write James a letter proving he has been looking for work - but James is in for a land.
Later, he confronts Maxine.
"I'm not finished with you," he says.
"Excuse me?" says Maxine.
"Why did you say I turned down work instead of looking for it?" he asks. "Are you actually trying to stitch me up?"
