As always, there's plenty of drama coming up in the soaps this festive season! We've got the lowdown on what's happening this week in Fair City, EastEnders, Coronation Street, Emmerdale and Ros na Rún.
EMMERDALE
Coming up this week in the Dales, poor Marlon has a terrible start to his new year.
Jacob arranges a date with Sarah, but Leyla insists he has lunch with her. Sarah is upset when she is stood up by Jacob. Was this deliberate on Leyla's part? Jacob later apologises profusely to Sarah and they organise another date.

On New Year's Eve, Emmerdale viewers will be treated to five flash-forwards. But what do they mean and what futures do they hint at?
It is Jacob's first day on his student placement at A&E. In a standalone episode, he struggles when it all goes rather wrong and he is reprimanded. Will Jacob question his abilities?
Elsewhere, Cain and Moira have booked a quiet lunch before her hospital visit. Chas wants to get to the bottom of Ruby’s behaviour as she’s drinking and agitated. Eventually, Ruby breaks her silence.

Also coming up, Anthony finds out a secret, Bob breaks down on the anniversary of Heath's death and Marlon and Rhona are at each other’s throats.
CORONATION STREET
The drama continues to build on Coronation Street this festive season as a row breaks out between Kit and David. David hopes to dupe Kit into a confession to his crimes regarding Nathan Curtis, but Kit sees through him and decides to take the law into his own hands.

Lauren calls Max from prison and admits she is scared about her trial. Max tries to sound positive but fails to tell her that she'll be up against the toughest of barristers.
Elsewhere, Lisa surprises Carla with a romantic lunch in the cafe, but the mood is broken when she receives an urgent call to an incident. Sporting a bruised face and split lip, Lisa assures Carla she's fine and ready for a drink. In The Rovers, everyone joins in on the countdown to midnight. When Carla lets slip to Lisa that she loves her, will Lisa feel the same way?

Later, Roy is concerned about Carla when she starts hearing things and looking confused. After he lets himself into her flat and finds her barely conscious on the floor he calls for an ambulance. In the hospital, the doctor tells Roy that he suspects Carla may be suffering from sepsis.
Meanwhile, Mason is shocked when Lisa reveals that his brothers were driving the car that knocked Becky down. He asks Dylan to keep a lookout for him while he searches Matty and Logan's flat. Later, Mason and Dylan arrive at the station and hand Lisa a WWII helmet that he found at the flat. Could it be the smoking gun Lisa needs?
Fair City
Dean and Mairead are unsettled as Damien seeks clarity about his overdose and insists they bring Tyler to visit him in the hospital. While they agree, their mistrust of Tyler lingers.
Carol makes a life-changing decision to sell the bookies to JJ, who faces criticism from Steo over his parenting. Nora reassures Carol about her decisions but grows uneasy when Sash hints at trouble brewing with JJ’s family.

Kira returns, clashing with Alex and Melanie over Mondo’s house. Her scheming escalates when she contacts her sister Niamh to evict Alex. Melanie’s cunning move to retrieve Alex’s keys only adds to the chaos.
James struggles with rejection and financial desperation but finds an unexpected ally in Tyler, who presents him with Maxine’s stolen wallet, offering a moral crossroads. Tyler’s support sparks a fragile connection between the two.

Elsewhere, Fidelma takes over Laura’s murder case, bringing fresh determination. Renee hopes her involvement will aid Dean, while Hughie steps into family matters with Farrah’s guidance.

Suki and Eve's joint hen party is overshadowed by the shocking news that Nish has been spotted in the area. Suki fears for her safety and begins to doubt her wedding plans. With encouragement from Yolande, she resolves to move forward. Meanwhile, Nish continues to manipulate Nugget, keeping his family on edge.
Meanwhile, Zack plans a big New Year’s Eve, but Martin chooses a quieter night at the hospital with Ruby and their son, much to Ruby’s delight. Elsewhere, Denise confronts Ravi about Nish, while Jack and Penny reflect on their complicated past.

The Square gathers for Suki and Eve’s wedding, a hopeful moment for the couple. However, Freddie unwittingly stirs drama by suggesting Kat and Alfie rekindle their vows.
Later, Martin supports Stacey in her hour of need, but tensions flare when Ruby tries to help, leaving Stacey upset. Meanwhile, Ravi and Jack clash over Denise, adding to the explosive start to the year.
Ros an Rún
