RTÉ has announced an exciting line-up of movies to enjoy this festive season, including a host of Irish television premieres alongside some Christmas classics.
10 Irish television premieres
Prepare for some entertaining movie nights as RTÉ is set to air a series of films for the first time on Irish television this Christmas.
Fresh from cinema screens, That They May Face the Rising Sun, adapted from John McGahern's celebrated novel, is among the movies premiering on Irish TV this Christmas.
In Downton Abbey: A New Era, the Crawley family and their entourage head to southern France, while Maverick trains a group of elite Top Gun graduates to prepare for a high-profile mission in the thrilling Top Gun: Maverick.

Daisy Edgar-Jones' mystery drama Where the Crawdads Sing, sci-fi action Jurassic World Dominion, the excellent superhero outing Spider-Man: No Way Home and the Channing Tatum and Sandra Bullock comedy The Lost City will also be airing on RTÉ this festive season.
There are also some family friendly options to keep young and old alike entertained: Soul, Minions 2: The Rise of Gru and Incredibles 2.
Blockbusters
There will be plenty of blockbusters this festive season, including a trio of Indiana Jones adventures, Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom, Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade and Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, and the James Bond classics No Time to Die, Casino Royale and Skyfall.

Die Hard 2, Finding Dory, Paddington, Toy Story 3, Casablanca and The Graduate will also be available to watch on RTÉ this Christmas.
Christmas Classics
White Christmas, Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, and It's a Wonderful Life never fail to ignite the festive spirit. For a hilarious holiday adventure, Jingle All the Way follows a father's frantic quest to find the perfect Christmas gift, while Jack Frost delivers a touching story of family and second chances. For the season romantics, Christmas at Maple Creek and Christmas Setup are the choices for you.
