Villagers to headline Sligo Live Festival

Dublin act Villagers is the main weekend attraction at the Knocknarea Arena on Saturday night as the the Sligo Live Festival rolls along.

Fronted by Conor O'Brien, Villagers recently released a sixth studio album, That Golden Time.

Critically acclaimed, Villagers have been awarded Ireland’s Choice Music Prize, nominated for UK’s Mercury Music Prize and Conor has been awarded two prestigious Ivor Novellos for his songwriting.

Also on the menu over the coming days are Jargon (Wednesday 30 October), Susan O'Neill (Thursday 31 October), The Felice Brothers (Friday 1 November), Seamus & Caoimhe Ui Fhlatharta (Saturday 2 November).

Finishing off the festival is Luka Bloom on Sunday 3 November), whose career spans nearly 50 years with 28 albums to date.

All those above-mentioned concerts will take place at the Hawk's Well Theatre.
