The Irish theatre company Fishamble has confirmed that the Olivier Award that was stolen from their office is back in its "rightful place on the mantelpiece".
The award was among several items stolen from the company's Dublin offices on Great Denmark Street on Saturday night.
In a statement, Fishamble said: "We are delighted to report that the Olivier Award taken from the Fishamble office over the weekend has been returned.
"We very much appreciate all the messages of support received and are relieved to have Larry back home in its rightful place on the mantelpiece.
"As this is part of a wider and ongoing Garda investigation, we will not be making any further comment."
The Olivier Award was given to the Fishamble team and Pat Kinevane in 2016 for the one-man show Silent, which was written and performed by Cork star Kinevane and directed by Jim Culleton.
The Olivier Awards are presented annually by the Society of London Theatre to recognise excellence in professional theatre in London and Fishamble is the only Irish theatre company to have won this prestigious award.
Culleton said of the significance of the trophy: "You put on plays in order to employ artists and to engage with audiences and to do the work.
"So the awards, in a way, aren't the important thing, but when you get something like an Olivier Award - we're the only Irish theatre company to have won one for an Irish production - it's a real mark of achievement."
Fishamble is funded by the Arts Council, Dublin City Council and Culture Ireland.
