Speaking about the track, Skanger's singer and guitarist Mark Healy says "I accidentally heard an interview on Irish talk radio where a man was talking about a letter he found while clearing out his late father’s house.

Behind the music: Skanger

"The letter was a declaration that prior to the birth of his son, his father had been someone different, and he had led an alternate life that was meaningful and worthwhile to the world.

"I found this heartbreakingly sad. I decided to write my own letter but in a positive hopeful way by writing Change The World.

Change The World is the third single to be lifted from the band’s debut album Love & Violence, which is set for release in Spring.
