Joe Bonamassa to bring his Rory Gallagher show to Cork next summer

American blues guitarist Joe Bonamassa and his band will play two nights at the Marquee Cork on 1 and 2 of July 2025 in a special celebration of Irish music great Rory Gallagher.

A lifelong fan of the Ballyshannon-born guitarist, Bonamassa will perform Gallagher's Irish Tour '74 set to mark the 30th anniversary of his death in June 1995.

Tickets for the show go on sale this Friday 4 October at 10am from Ticketmaster.ie.

Bonamassa, who opened for the BB King when he was just 12 years old, has sold over 10 million records, earned 27 No. 1 Billboard Blues albums, received three Grammy Award nominations and 13 Blues Music Award nominations.

Presented in association with Rory’s brother Donal and Donal's son Daniel Gallagher, the show will see Bonamassa play songs from Rory’s legendary 1974 Irish tour.

This is the first gig announcement for Live at the Marquee Cork 2025.
