England are first up, followed by another home tie against Greece on Tuesday night.
The gas thing is that England are also under new management, in the shape of former Ireland international Lee Carsley (below). Football, eh?
The English squad is far from full strength, though it would still be a major surprise if the Irish were to win this one. Even a draw would be a minor miracle.
as far as the coverage is concerned, Peter Collins is joined by Didi Hamann, Richie Sadlier and Shay Given for the game at the Aviva Stadium ahead of the 5pm kick-off.

Sting: Radio 2 in the Park, 10.15pm, BBC Two
The singer-songwriter's headline performance on the main stage at the station's festival in Moor Park, Preston opens a night dedicated to Gordon Sumner and his former band, The Police.
It’s followed at 11.30pm by Sting and the Police at the BBC.
This collection of performances from the archives celebrates both the solo star and the band that brought him attention in the first place, with hits such as Roxanne, Fragile, Message in a Bottle, Brand New Day and Every Breath You Take.
If you’re still on a Sting tip after that, it’s followed at 1am by Sting: Reel Stories, where he sits down with Dermot O' Leary in a cinema to talk about his life and career.
Finally, at 1.45am there’s The Police in the East: Old Grey Whistle Test, where Annie Nightingale accompanies the band on their 1980 tour of Japan, Hong Kong, India, Egypt and Greece.

Between the Paralympics and the Ireland-England game, this is about the most Saturday night thing on the telly.
Emma Willis (above) hosts the singing contest, with Tom Jones, Will.i.am, LeAnn Rimes and Tom Fletcher and Danny Jones continuing to select their teams in the second round of blind auditions,.
As ever, they’ll be pushing their buttons with the aim of picking the most exciting singing talent that the UK has to offer.
Made in Korea: The K-Pop Experience, 5.15pm, BBC One
This week Dexter, James, Olly and Reese try to build bridges with Blaise, who's feeling isolated.
Meanwhile, the band members try practising their choreography while wearing blindfolds, hoping to master their moves. Some viewers may consider adopting a similar approach to this show.
They also visit a traditional folk village with Shindong, and are taken to a Korean food market by the K-Pop Cowboy, who encourages them to sample some local delicacies.

Moving On, Sky Cinema Premiere & NOW
Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin star as estranged friends who reunite to seek revenge on the petulant widower (Malcolm McDowell) of their recently deceased best friend.
Along the way, Fonda's character reunites with her great love (Richard Roundtree) as each woman learns to make peace with the past and each other.
By all accounts, this is worth a watch just to see Fonda and Tomlin riff around each other.
Family Flick
The Railway Children Return, 6.35pm, RTÉ One
Here’s the recent sequel to beloved family drama The Railway Children, starring Beau Gadsdon, Jenny Agutter, Sheridan Smith and Tom Courtenay.
In 1944, Salford siblings Lily, Pattie and Ted Watts are evacuated to the Yorkshire village of Oakworth.
The children are placed with headmistress Annie Waterbury, whose husband is away at war, and her son Thomas.
Eventually the youngsters stand up to injustice close to home when they encounter a soldier on the run.

How to Marry a Millionaire, 1.55pm, BBC Two
Here’s a fluffy, fun movie from 1953 that should pass the afternoon nicely if you just want to switch off on the sofa.
It’s a comedy, starring Betty Grable, Marilyn Monroe (above), Lauren Bacall, William Powell, Cameron Mitchell, David Wayne, Rory Calhoun and Fred Clark.

Film of the day and no mistake.
Quentin Tarantino’s masterpiece, an homage to a period of great change in Hollywood, stars Leonardo DiCaprio, Brad Pitt (below), Margot Robbie, Timothy Olyphant and Al Pacino.
Faded television actor Rick Dalton and his stunt double Cliff Booth strive to hang on to their careers during the final years of Hollywood's Golden Age in 1969 Los Angeles.
As they navigate a changing film industry they barely recognise any more, they are drawn into the orbit of both ill-fated rising star Sharon Tate, and Charles Manson and his cult of zealous followers.

It’s a busy morning at the Stade de France, with athletics medals up for grabs in nine events, including women's 400m T13 and men's 100m T36 finals.
Elsewhere, there are five canoeing finals at Vaires-sur-Marne Stadium, and judo and table tennis at Champ-de-Mars Arena and South Paris Arena respectively.

At 4pm the action switches to RTÉ One as Daráine Mulvihill is joined by Jason Smyth for live coverage, including swimming at Paris La Defense Arena, where the first six finals of the session take place - the men's and women's S6 100m backstroke, S8 100m butterfly and S7 50m butterfly.
From 7.50pm the action’s back on RTÉ2 as Evanne Ní Chuilinn is joined by Joanne O'Riordan, Niamh McCarthy and Peter Ryan for live coverage of the penultimate evening at the Paralympics.
The track and field schedule concludes Stade de France with the women's F63 shot put and T63 100m and the men's T47 100m finals.
Elsewhere, the men's and women's epeé gold medal matches take place, and the men's gold medal wheelchair basketball final is held at Bercy Arena.
