Season 2 of this 1960s' set comedy drama based on Nick Hornby’s Funny Girl novel finds Sophie (Gemma Arterton) on a high.

Not only is she the British nation’s favourite TV comedy star, she’s also got a group of good friends and her romance with Dennis is full of promise.

But trouble is just round the corner . . .

Mancini, Bacharach and Friends at the Proms, 8.00pm, BBC Four

Lovers of lounge music – or anyone who likes a catchy tune - should lap this up.

Edwin Outwater and the BBC Concert Orchestra celebrate Henry Mancini (above) and his music, marking a century since the flautist, composer and conductor's birth.

They play classics such as Lujon as well as themes from The Pink Panther and Peter Gunn, plus gems from the lounge music and space-age pop genres Mancini helped inspire.

Presented by Jess Gillam from London's Royal Albert Hall.

Guy Garvey: From the Vaults, 10.00pm, Sky Arts

Elbow frontman and broadcaster Guy Garvey (below) is back to lift the lid on two decades of TV gold.

As ever, he’ll be taking you through era-defining musical performances, long lost studio appearances and revealing interviews.

In the first episode of this run, Guy reflects on our turbulent times with a special look at era-defining protest songs.

Movie Themes at the BBC, 10.05pm, BBC Four

Here’s a selection of the best BBC moments and classic archives performances from singers and bands who cracked Hollywood as well as the pop charts.

Songs from blockbusters, Oscar-winners, comedies and family favourites featuring a selection soundtrack stars, including Destiny's Child, Paul Simon, All Saints, Simple Minds and Dolly Parton.

Followed at 11.05pm by Movie Themes at the BBC Vol 2. More archive performances of songs from the big screen, including Lulu's To Sir with Love, Kate Bush's This Woman's Work, Lisa Loeb's Stay and Bruce Springsteen's Streets of Philadelphia.

Taika Waititi wrote, directed and co-stars in this Oscar-winning comedy, featuring Roman Griffin Davis, Thomasin McKenzie, Rebel Wilson, Stephen Merchant and Scarlett Johansson.

A lonely German boy discovers that his single mother is hiding a Jewish girl in their attic. Aided only by his imaginary friend, Adolf Hitler,

Season 8 of the show mixing luxe real estate and major drama.

The reality series set in the world of LA’s high-end real estate follows seven of the city's most successful female realtors who all work under the same roof at the top agency in the Hollywood Hills and the Sunset Strip.

Early live coverage includes men's and women's road races, which get under way at Clichy-sous-Bois in Saint-Denis.

Eight more athletics finals also take place at Stade de France, including the men's T52 100m final, and the men's 72kg powerlifting final is held at La Chapelle Arena.

Daráine Mulvihill is joined at 3.15pm by Jason Smyth for the first four athletics finals of the evening, including the women's T64 100m race. There’s also another packed session in the pool at Paris La Defense Arena.

From 7pm Evanne Ní Chuilinn is joined by Catherine Walsh, James Scully and Michael McKillop for live coverage from the pool at Paris La Defense Arena with the women's S4 50m freestyle and men's S11 100m butterfly and S8 100m freestyle finals.

There are also more athletics finals in the women's T20 long jump, 4x100m universal relay and men's T51 100m.
