Colin from Accounts
Colin from Accounts

Colin from Accounts is back for a new run, as is Baz Ashmawy's Best Place to Be, there's a documentary about legendary actor Alec Guinness, a Patricia Routledge night on the Beeb – and the final of Cooking with the Stars . . .

Pick of the Day

Colin from Accounts, 10.00pm, BBC Two

This quirky Australian comedy was a sleeper hit (and great fun) earlier this year and now returns for a second run.

Season one was about a couple of strangers who came together to care for a stray dog that was left without back legs after Gordon was distracted by a flashing Ash and collided with the canine, subsequently called Colin from Accounts.

As the series resumes, Ash and Gordon have moved in together, but there's a Colin-shaped hole in their hearts as they try to get their beloved, special needs dog back from his new owners.

They also attempt to work out whether what they want is a relationship with each other, or if they both just wanted a dog. That dog.
