This new series goes behind the front desks, inside the patrol cars and on the beat with the frontline Gardaí across Dundalk, Longford and Waterford.
It’s all about witnessing the challenges and issues being faced by the Gardaí policing in urban and rural Ireland.
On the Beat follows a number of different police officers, ranging in age and rank, as they carry out their daily duties, from Garda Neechal Ramah to Inspector Dave Jordan.

Starring Annabel Scholey and Colin Morgan, this new thriller is about a woman who has an unexpected chance encounter with the man who killed her brother 20 years previously, whom she had assumed was still in prison.
When out shopping with her son, Cathy McDaid bumps into Michael McAllister, the man responsible for killing her brother Terry 20 years ago.
Unaware he had been released from prison and is living in the same town, Cathy pays her solicitor a visit and discovers the killer had been released years ago.
She then creates an online alias in order to befriend him and find out as much as she can about the man who ruined her life.
In My Own Words: Billy Connolly, 11.30pm, BBC One
Neither Parkinson’s disease nor age have diminished Billy Connolly’s wit or wisdom in this astonishingly intimate self-portrait of the stand-up pioneer turned cultural icon.
Told in his own words, with unflinching honesty and access to a superlative archive rather than the oft-told story of his career, this is a surprising and delightful meditation on the joys of growing older and wiser.
Billy looks back on his triumphs and failings as an entertainer, husband and father.

Return of the crime thriller, starring Gemma Whelan.
DS Sarah Collins is called to the brutal stabbing of a teenager, but her investigation soon finds itself at cross purposes with a covert operation led by Kieran Shaw.
Shaw is working with Sarah's old partner Steve Bradshaw, now deep undercover.
Meanwhile, Lizzie Adama is back at Farlow trying to balance her new role as a detective with family life, but her path and Kieran's are about to cross.

Andy Warhol's America, 12 midnight, BBC Four
Late-night documentary series looking at the history of 20th-century America through the life and career of Andy Warhol.
Episode one examines the artist's childhood in Pittsburgh and his rise from poverty to wealth and fame in New York City in the 1950s.
Warhol establishes his name by making everyday foodstuff the subject of his work, and in turn creates a sensation which propels him to the A-list of American society.

From 9am there’s the best of the morning's action on day five, including boccia at South Paris Arena, five athletics finals at Stade de France, the men's and women's PTVI triathlons from Ponte Alexandre III and swimming heats at Paris La Defense Arena.

At Paris La Defense swimming finals take place in 11 different events, and there are also four athletics finals at Stade de France, including the men's 100m T35 race. Daráine Mulvihill presents, with analysis from Joanne O'Riordan
Then at 7pm, Evanne Ní Chuilinn is joined by Ailbhe Kelly, Catherine Walsh and Jason Smyth for more live action.
Athletics finals take place at the Stade de France in the men's F11 shot put and T63 and T64 100m.
The mixed 4x100m medley 34 points final also takes place in the pool at Paris La Defense Arena, and there is a gold medal match in the men's individual BC3 bocchia at South Paris Arena.
