The Script's seventh studio album, Satellites, has debuted at No. 1 on the Irish Official Albums Chart.
The Irish band's first album since the death of co-founder and guitarist Mark Sheehan in April 2023 at the age of 46.
All six of their studio albums and one greatest hits compilation have previously hit the top spot in both Ireland and the UK: The Script (2008), Science & Faith (2010), #3 (2012), No Sound Without Silence (2014), Freedom Child (2017), Sunsets & Full Moons (2019) and Tales From The Script: Greatest Hits (2021).
Speaking to RTÉ 2fm's Tracy Clifford earlier this year, frontman Danny O'Donoghue admitted it's been "really tough" for him and his bandmate - drummer Glen Power - to come to terms with what happened.
"We're going to move forward and we're going to honour him by what we started together."
Opening up about the album's name, Satellites, O'Donoghue explained how "there's a lot of meaning behind" the title.
"It's one of the tracks that's on the album. It's one of the last songs I wrote with Mark before he passed," he said.
"I just feel like it's such a great name because at the end of the day we're all just bits of dust floating through space.
"Satellites rise above the earth and they have a vantage point to look down and you communicate through satellites as well. So there's a lot of meaning behind it for me," he concluded.
In May, O'Donoghue and fellow bandmate Glen Power announced that they had officially welcomed bassist Ben Sargeant and guitarist Ben Weaver to the band.
In a post on social media they said: "The Script, as a three-piece, will never be the same, so transitioning to a four-piece feels like the right way to go.
"It is a sign of respect to leave the past as it was and not to attempt to replicate it, as we simply never will."
The Script are set to play Belfast's SSE Arena on Wednesday 13 November and Dublin's 3Arena on Friday 15 November.
