EastEnders star Natalie Cassidy is relishing what comes next in the BBC soap after her Albert Square character Sonia Fowler was charged with murder.
The Walford favourite has been charged with the murder of Debbie Colwell (Jenny Meier), the late wife of Sonia's now-fiancé Reiss Colwell (Jonny Freeman).
Debbie, who was in a coma, was smothered by Reiss - and now he has framed the pregnant Sonia.
"It's her worst nightmare coming true," Cassidy told the BBC.

"She absolutely cannot believe it, especially when Reiss has been let off because he has an alibi.
"I think it happens so quickly and in a flash that she's just desperately scared about the baby and the impact this level of stress and trauma will have on a pregnancy that's so fragile. That's her main concern, losing her baby or having her baby and them taking it away..."
The soap veteran said that Sonia "100%" believes Reiss's lie that he did not kill Debbie - while Cassidy herself cannot believe what Reiss has done in the latest scripts she has received for the show.
"To the point where she's (Sonia) going to go down for it, and he doesn't say, 'This was me, I did this'. You are like, 'Oh my God, he's a psycho'. It's really shocking and dark; I look forward to seeing what happens next."

When asked if anyone could save Sonia, Cassidy replied: "Who knows? But she's got a lot of champions there on the Square..."
EastEnders airs on RTÉ One and BBC One Monday to Thursday.
