If you haven't got a ticket for next year's Electric Picnic you're in for some bad news - the 2025 event is already sold out despite issues with ticket sales.

Tickets for Electric Picnic 2025 went on sale yesterday morning at 9am and have now sold out. Although, it appears the sale was not without its problems.

An official statement said: "Well, there were a couple of hiccups with the loyalty tickets but, you wanted to be there and you persevered!

"Ticketmaster corrected the hiccups and the loyalty tickets sold out as well as the first-time buyer tickets so the lucky ones have them and we are sold out!

"We are looking forward to putting on the best festival in Ireland for you again next year!"

The festival, which takes place in Stradbally, Co Laois, has a loyalty scheme where music fans who attended previous Electric Picnics can purchase tickets at a discounted price as a reward.

Further to the "couple of hiccups" mentioned above, punters turned to social media to vent their frustration.

Despite having a three-year loyalty code, festival fan Maresa Fagan said she had to pay full price for her tickets.

Patrick Coughlan also shared his irritation, declaring it was "money down the drain" for returning campers who had expected to receive a discount.

Another X user, Emer, questioned if Ticketmaster would issue a refund for fans whose loyalty codes but had to pay full price.

Representatives for Electric Picnic have been contacted for comment.

Weekend camping tickets for the festival ranged from €225 (loyalty scheme) to €290, while attendees also had the option of buying early entry passes to access the site from Thursday.

Electric Picnic will return on 29 - 31 August 2025.
