Hip-hop star Nas will mark the thirtieth anniversary of his groundbreaking Illmatic album with a show at the 3Olympia Theatre, Dublin on 13 November.

Released 30 years ago by the then 20-year-old Nas, Illmatic is widely regarded as one of the greatest and most influential hip-hop albums of all time.

In celebration of the record's 30th anniversary, the New York rapper will perform the album in full on his tour Europe and the UK throughout October and November.

Tickets priced from €87.90 are on sale this Friday at 10.00am.

Illmatic was Nas’s very personal record of growing up in New York in the 90s and it featured the production team of Premier, Large Professor, Q-Tip, Pete Rock and L.E.S.

Nas has also commemorated the 30th anniversary of Illmatic with the release of a new track, Define My Name, produced by DJ Premier, who produced a handful of tracks on the landmark album, including N.Y. State of Mind, Represent, Memory Lane (Sittin’ in da Park).

Nas will also play dates in Finland, Sweden, Germany, Italy, The Netherlands, France and the UK as part of the Illmatic 30th anniversary tour.
