Kidnapped: The Chloe Ayling Story, 9.00pm, BBC Three

Here’s a six-part drama starring Nadia Parkes and based on the bizarre abduction of British glamour model Chloe Ayling in 2017.

Excited by her flourishing career, 20-year-old Chloe prepares for a rescheduled photoshoot in Milan, feeling like the world is her oyster.

But as she arrives at the studio, she is immediately grabbed by masked men and suddenly everything goes black.

Drugged and terrified, Chloe awakes in a duffel bag in the boot of a car and is taken to a remote farmhouse.

In part two at 9.30pm, Chloe attempts to form a connection with MD and gain his sympathy, but it’s no easy feat.

She recognises his desire to impress her and plays along but worries she has taken it too far when his attraction to her grows.

Celebrity Race Across the World, 9.00pm, BBC One

It’s the second season of the celeb version of this cracking show.

Broadcaster Kelly Brook and her husband Jeremy, actor Kola Bokinni and his cousin Mary Ellen, radio host Scott Mills and his husband Sam and broadcaster Jeff Brazier and his son Freddy embark on a race from the Amazon rainforest to the Andes.

They leave behind their lavish lifestyles and rely on just a map and a limited budget to get them through the 12,500km journey.

Making, 10.35pm, RTÉ One

Honouring Ireland’s talented craft makers, Making documents the annual gathering of makers each September at the Joseph Walsh Studio.

This get-together encompasses a workshop, gallery, design studio, and archive set around an 18th-century farmhouse in the countryside of Fartha, County Cork.

Art, craft, design and technical innovation are celebrated in expressive pieces that the studio crafts.

The Big Brunch, 8.10pm, U&W

From Schitt's Creek creator Dan Levy comes what could prove to be a delectable cooking competition celebrating brunch.

The judges welcome ten chefs to The Big Brunch kitchen, and their first challenge is to create a starter and main celebrating their culinary past and future.

This is the kind of show that should put a smile on your face as it oozes empathy as well as making you hungry. And there's a potentially life-changing cash prize on offer for the winner.

Best Interests, 10.30pm, RTÉ2

This four-part drama was screened on BBC One last year and is well worth a look.

It stars Sharon Horgan and Michael Sheen as a couple driven apart over the decision whether or not to stop care for their daughter's deteriorating health.

After a late-night emergency involving a chest infection, medical staff decide that the treatment is too invasive and actively causing pain and long-term damage.

Her parents resolve to fight for the right to keep her alive no matter the cost, but tension soon grows in the family.

This looks promising.

Vince Vaughn stars here as Andrew Yancy, a former police detective who has been reduced to conducting restaurant inspections in Southern Florida.

A severed arm found by a tourist pulls Yancy into the world of greed and corruption that decimates the land and environment in both Florida and the Bahamas.

Daughters, Netflix

This filmtraces an eight-year documentary journey by filmmaker Natalie Rae and social change advocate Angela Patton.

It intimately follows Aubrey, Santana, Raziah, and Ja’Ana as they prepare for a momentous Daddy Daughter Dance with their incarcerated fathers.

Speaking openly about their aspirations, dreams, and the emotional toll of their fathers’ absence, compounded by the constraints of virtual visits, these girls reveal a profound wisdom and resilience beyond their years.

American Murder: Laci Peterson, Netflix

From director Skye Borgman (The Girl in the Picture) comes the definitive examination of the murder of Laci Peterson, a young woman who disappeared on Christmas Eve 2002, who was eight months pregnant.

Live UEFA Super Cup, 7.30pm, RTÉ2

It’s Real Madrid v Atalanta (KO 8pm) as Darragh Maloney presents all the action from the annual match between Champions League and Europa League winners, held this year at National Stadium Warsaw.

Real, who were crowned European champions once again after overcoming Borussia Dortmund, have won this competition a joint-record five times, with their most recent triumph coming in 2022.

Atalanta are making their Super Cup debut after stunning Bayer Leverkusen with a 3-0 win in the Europa League's showpiece match at Lansdowne Road.

The Spanish giants are more familiar with the situation and will start as favourites - but Atalanta coach Gian Piero Gasperini cannot be underestimated.
