Michelle Pfeiffer is to lead the cast of Madison, the sequel to the hit western drama series Yellowstone.
Three-time Oscar nominee Pfeiffer will also work as an executive producer on the new series.
Announcing Pfeiffer's casting, Chris McCarthy, Paramount Global Co-CEO and President/CEO, Showtime & MTV Entertainment Studios, said: "Michelle Pfeiffer is a remarkable talent who imbues every role with emotional depth, authenticity, and grace.
"She is the perfect anchor to the newest chapter of the Yellowstone universe, Madison, from the brilliant mind of Taylor Sheridan."
The Hollywood Reporter says the sequel series had the working title 2024 when it was first announced.
The final episodes of Yellowstone will begin airing in the US on 10 November.
