Titanic in Colour, 8.00pm, Channel 4

Part one of a two-part documentary about the doomed ship, featuring photographs and film footage that have been specially colourised for this series, many for the very first time.

This first episode follows the Titanic's construction in Belfast to the final photo before setting sail into the North Atlantic.

Personal stories from passengers' relatives capture the excitement of the brand-new ship, and the Titanic's luxurious interior is brought back to life.

Vienna Blood, 9.00pm, BBC Two

Return of the crime drama, starring Juergen Maurer and Matthew Beard.

It’s 1909 and Oskar is baffled when the director of security agrees to a secret rendezvous with a notorious, recently captured criminal.

When the meeting is ambushed, he is compelled to seek the identity of a high-powered traitor who threatens the very existence of the empire.

He, of course, needs the help of Max, who has recently returned from a very successful tour of America.

Fleadh24 - Na Cúigí, 9.30pm, TG4

Irish music, song and dance staged in Wexford town.

For eight days the streets bustle with performers, music lovers and those competing at Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann.

Presenters Doireann Ní Ghlacáin (above) and Peadar Ó Goill travel the highways and byways, taking viewers on a trip across the four provincial finals in Strokestown, Wicklow, Thurles and Dromore to catch up with some of the country's emerging musical talent.

Gershwin's Summertime: The Song That Conquered the World, 9.40pm, BBC Four

This documentary charts how George Gershwin (below) and DuBose Heyward's song Summertime became a standard around the world.

The film tells the story of its first appearance in the 1935 opera Porgy and Bess, charts how it has been reinterpreted by artists including Billie Holiday, Janis Joplin, Mahalia Jackson, Miles Davis and Ella Fitzgerald.

It also explores the many meanings that have been derived from it through the decades. Narrated by Pauline Black.

Britain Behind Bars: A Secret History, 9.00pm, Channel 4

Rob Rinder concludes his investigation at Shepton Mallet prison in Somerset, one of the oldest prisons in the country.

For most of its history, Shepton was home to petty criminals convicted of minor offences.

Rob explores what impact short sentences had on the lives of its inmates over the centuries, and discovers that the Kray twins (above), two of Britain's most notorious gangsters, were incarcerated at Shepton Mallet.

Seven Brides for Seven Brothers, 3.40pm, RTÉ One

This week’s sofa choice for those who want to avoid the afternoon’s sport is a classic Rogers & Hammerstein musical.

Directed by Stanley Donen, it stars Howard Keel, Jane Powell, Jeff Richards and Julie Newmar.

A cowboy from a large backwoods family decides to get married, prompting his six hellraising brothers to follow suit.

But they’re unfamiliar with the ways of love, and so they think the best way to get hitched is to kidnap their prospective brides.

Sport

Paris Olympics 2024: AM, from 9.15am

Coverage of the first of the events on day nine in the French capital, including equestrian, tennis, golf and athletics. Rory McIlroy will hope to be in contention for an Irish gold in the final round of the golf at Le Golf National.

Medals are also up for grabs in the individual dressage Grand Prix freestyle at the magnificent Chateau de Versailles.

Elsewhere, the tennis competition reaches its climax on the clay courts of Roland Garros with the men's singles and women's doubles finals from 11am, and there is more athletics action at Stade de France.

Evanne Ní Chuilinn presents, with analysis from Derval O'Rourke and Sonia O'Sullivan (below).

At 1pm there’s Paris Olympics 2024: Today, with champions set to be crowned in artistic gymnastics, golf, tennis and cycling.

There are three gold medals on offer in artistic gymnastics at the Bercy Arena in the men's rings final at 2pm, the women's uneven bars at 2.40pm and the men's vault final from 3.25pm.

The men's singles champion will also be crowned in the tennis at Roland Garros, with the men's golf event at Le Golf National, and the women's cycling road race on the streets of Paris.

Peter Collins presents, with analysis from Andrew Bree, Earl McCarthy, Grainne Murphy, Rob Heffernan and Sonia O'Sullivan.

Finally, from 6pm there’s Paris Olympics 2024: Tonight.

Darragh Maloney presents coverage of one of the most eagerly awaited evenings of the Games, as the swimming competition reaches a conclusion at La Defense Arena and the men's 100m takes place on the track at the Stade de France.

Other races scheduled are the opening round of the men's 400m, the women's high jump final, the men's 100m semi-finals, the men's hammer final, the women's 800m semi-final and the semi-finals of the men's 1500m.

It’s Ladies Day at Croke Park, beginning with Fermanagh v Louth, with the throw-in 11.45am in the TG4 Championship Ladies Junior Football final.

Roisin Leonard of Galway

At 1.30pm the focus switches to Leitrim v Tyrone (throw-in 1.45pm) in the Ladies Intermediate Football final at GAA HQ.

Coverage of the day’s big game begins at 3.40pm, ahead of the Ladies Senior Football final between Galway and Kerry, with the throw-in 4.15pm).
