New or Returning Shows

Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmares USA, 10.00pm, Channel 4

After almost a decade away from this show, Gordon Ramsay (below) returns to visit struggling restaurants across The United States of America, spending a week trying to help them become more successful.

The 8th season opens at the Bel Aire Diner in Astoria, New York, which is a family-run business apparently crumbling under dysfunction.

With their parents retiring, the fiery chef urges two brothers to work through their emotional conflicts to save their beloved restaurant.

Fantasmas, 10.00pm, Sky Comedy

This new absurdist comedy series stars former Saturday Night Live writer Julio Torres.

Judging by the trailer, it'll be a bit of an acquired taste.

For starters, Julio loses a golden oyster earring, and he also explains his sensitivity to shapes, colours and the alphabet to his fellow passengers.

Interview with the Vampire, 9.00pm, BBC Two

Return for a second run of the horror drama based on Anne Rice's The Vampire Chronicles, starring Delainey Hayles, Jacob Anderson and Sam Reid.

Claudia's quest for other vampires and their heritage leads her and Louis to war-torn Romania, where locals fear what lurks in the forest, while Louis is still haunted by a betrayed Lestat.

Don't Miss

The Shining, 9.00pm, BBC Four

Stanley Kubrick's classic horror, based on the Stephen King novel, with Jack Nicholson, Shelley Duvall, Danny Lloyd and Scatman Crothers.

Presumably this in tribute to Shelley Duvall, who recently died. By her account, she had an extremely unpleasant time working under Kubrick.

Nicholson plays an aspiring writer who takes a caretaking job at a remote mountain hotel.

It has closed for the winter, and he has been hired to get the place ready for the next season.

But evil spirits haunting its corridors destroy his sanity, causing the unhinged author to rampage through the hotel and terrorise his wife (Duvall) and young son.

New to Stream

Batman: Caped Crusader, Prime Video

This brand-new series is a reimagining of the Batman mythology from executive producers JJ Abrams, Matt Reeves and Bruce Timm.

Gotham City is where the corrupt outnumber the good, criminals run rampant and law-abiding citizens live in a constant state of fear.

Forged in the fire of tragedy, wealthy socialite Bruce Wayne becomes something both more and less than human - the Batman.

His one-man crusade for justice attracts unexpected allies within the Gotham City PD and City Hall, but his heroic actions spawn deadly, unforeseen ramifications.

Celebrity Send Off, All4

Famous faces ask a loved one to arrange a test-run funeral so that they can see how they'll be sent off, before they die.

Will watching their own funeral end in joy or tears?

The opening episode features Shaun Ryder (above) and Bez from Happy Mondays, where Bez arranges a UFO-themed funeral for Shaun, ending in a big bang.

Unstable, Netflix

In season two of Unstable, universally admired, eccentric, narcissist-adjacent biotech entrepreneur Ellis Dragon (Rob Lowe) lays out a series of challenges and mind games for his son Jackson (John Owen Lowe).

It's all to see if he has what it takes to succeed him as the heir to the Dragon empire - but does a newcomer have other ideas?

Mon Laferte, te amo, Netflix

This Chilean film is an intimate portrait of an artist who overcame a brutal childhood to go on and revolutionize Latin American music.

We find Mon in the midst of a world tour, transitioning into motherhood as she confronts the deep wounds of a life scarred by abuse, deprivation, and an enduring search for love.
