Two Irish contestants looking for love are set to take part in a new Netflix dating show which sees singletons "choose someone to marry without ever meeting them".
"Hyper independent" Sabrina Egeton (35) from Belfast and "cheeky and flirtatious" Dubliner Conor Griffin (31) are among a wide range of hopefuls taking part in Love Is Blind UK, which begins on 7 August.

Hosted by husband and wife Matt and Emma Willis, Netflix says the new series, which was filmed in UK, Sweden and Corfu, sees people "who want to be loved for who they are" move in together, plan their wedding and find out "if their physical connection matches the emotional bond they may have developed".
The publicity for the show continues: "When their wedding day arrives, will real-world realities and external factors push them apart, or will they marry the person they fell blindly in love with?"

According to Netflix, health food business owner Conor Griffin has been single for seven years and since his last relationship ended, he has struggled to find anyone he can truly connect with.
"After losing his mum three years ago, he started his own health food business in her memory, determined to make her proud. Now he's keen to start a family of his own".

Sabrina Egerton is a marketing and communications director and the publicity for Love is Blind UK says: "Unlucky in love Sabrina is hoping to meet the man of her dreams in the experiment. She hasn’t had much luck with men in her dating life which has led to her being hyper independent."
"Sabrina believes the pods will give her an opportunity to get deep with men from the get-go. She hopes to find someone who has worked through their own issues and wants to grow with her to be the best versions of themselves".

Love Is Blind UK consists of 11 episodes. The first four will debut on Netflix on 7 August, followed by episodes 5-9 on 14 August. The final two episodes will drop on 21 August.
