Produced in collaboration with producer, composer, songwriter, arranger, and sound designer F.O.W.L, the song calls out "the widespread hate, misogyny, homophobia and objectification through online trolling and cyberbullying and addresses issues of macho wealth, sex peddling and greed".
WvHs are a mix of drums, bodhrán, whistles, punk poetry, songs and beats, featuring punk poet, drummer and guitarist Carl Antony Plover and singer, bodhrán and whistle player Linda Plover.
Tell us three things about yourself . . .
I’m a dad, a punk poet and a crap dancer, which is strange because as a drummer you'd think I would be better.
How would you describe your music?
Left of field, rhythmical, edgy, with catchy melodies.
Who are your musical inspirations?
The Damned, The Fall, Cabaret Voltaire, New York Dolls, Ramones. Prince, Elvis (50s version).
What was the first gig you ever went to?
Besides Tommy Cooper at the end of Skegness pier, but without my parents, The Damned. That first show I turned into a short play and soon to be released short story.
What was the first record you ever bought?
Must have been something by Slade, possibly Cos I Luv You. The only fan club I joined. Don Powell on drums was a huge younger me influence.
What’s your favourite song right now?
It changes by the day, but we love Niamh Burry’s new album at the moment, opening track Discovery.
Favourite lyric of all time?
"Do you love me, or are you just extending good will?" - Is Your Love in Vain by Bob Dylan.
If you could only listen to one song for the rest of your life, what would it be?
Rowche Rumble by The Fall. I love the drum intro. We sometimes play a version of this live.
Where can people find your music/more information?
