Taylor Swift has said the Irish fans at her record-breaking three-night run of sold-out gigs at Dublin's Aviva Stadium made her feel "so at home" and that she is "still smiling thinking about it now".

The pop megastar wowed 150,000 ecstatic fans over three concerts when she brought her Eras Tour to the Dublin venue on 28 to 30 June.

Taking to Instagram on Tuesday, Swift reflected on the Irish leg of her tour: "I knew as soon as I saw the first Dublin crowd on Friday night that we were in for a wild weekend… the spirit of those 3 glorious crowds embodied fun and joy and exuberance, and we just felt so lucky to be there.

"The Irish fans made us feel so at home, so welcome in every way. Still smiling thinking about it now."

She added: "See you soon, Amsterdam!!"

Swift told fans during her Saturday night show that she, her band, and dancers will remember the concert "for the rest of our lives".

The superstar was in awe of the standing ovation at the end of her song Champagne Problems, when fans cheered for over three minutes.

"We're trying to be prepared, but we're not prepared for the level that you're on, Dublin," Swift said.

Following Sunday's gig, Swift partied at the Hacienda Bar on Little Mary Street in the city centre, alongside her boyfriend Travis Kelce, her musicians and dancers, support act Paramore, and legendary Fleetwood Mac singer, Stevie Nicks, who had been attendance at her final Aviva concert.

When RTÉ spoke to Shay Duignan the owner of the Hacienda Bar on Monday, he said: "They were lovely. We were delighted to have them."

"It was a late one," he added.

Swift will head to Amsterdam's Johan Cruyff Arena for her next three shows, running from Thursday to Saturday.

She will then play dates in Switzerland, Italy, Germany, Poland and Austria before returning to the UK in August for five nights at Wembley Stadium in London.
