Derry band PORTS have released the video for their new single, Wait Forever, and play the Nerve Centre, Derry on 7 June and The Empire, Belfast on 8 June. We asked Steven McCool from the band the BIG questions . . .
The four-piece band of McCool (bass and vocals), Mark O'Doherty (drums), Ryan Griffiths (guitar) and Conor Mason (piano) are gearing up to release their second album.
PORTS have appeared on RTÉ music show Other Voices and played shows across Australia, America, Canada, and throughout the UK and Ireland with their first album.

Tired, sleepy and hungry.
How would you describe your music?
Atmospheric Indie rock.
Who are your musical inspirations?
It changes constantly. For this current album. God Speed You Black Emperor, Timber Timbre, Fionn Regan.
What was the first gig you ever went to?
Witnness 2002, I think? Had my mind blown by Sonic Youth.
What was the first record you ever bought?
Think it was Mosley Shoals by Ocean Colour Scene.
What's your favourite song right now?
I'm listening to Knife Edge by Thom Yorke right now it's very lovely.
Favourite lyric of all time?

If you could only listen to one song for the rest of your life, what would it be?
Oooff! That's a tough one. Lovin' in My Baby's Eyes by Taj Mahal.
