Coldplay: Radio 1's Big Weekend, 10.30pm, BBC One

Want to finish off the weekend with some music? Maybe this will fit the bill as eco rockers Coldplay close BBC Radio 1's Big Weekend at Stockwood Park in Luton.

Chris Martin and the rest of the band are returning to the festival for the fourth time, having played Big Weekends in Glasgow, Exeter and Whitby Abbey over the last 10 years.

The concert will kick off the band’s latest European tour.

Aren’t Coldplay always on tour? Sure seems like it . . .

Birdsong, 6.30pm, RTÉ One

As the title suggests, Birdsong follows thirty-five-year-old ornithologist Sean Ronayne (above) from Cobh, as he sets out on a mission to record the call of every bird species in Ireland.

Plus, he’ll be exploring why Ireland's ecological health is considered the worst in Europe, despite its reputation as the Emerald Isle.

The gritty Martin Freeman show continues its second run.

Chris has a choice to make when he obtains Franny's encrypted phone - hand it in to the drugs squad or return it to the dealer in the hope of placating him.

As he wavers over the decision, Franny relentlessly hunts him across the city.

Tonight’s episode guest stars Sunetra Sarker, from Ackley Bridge.

Rob and Rylan's Grand Tour, 9.00pm, BBC Two

As their journey continues after last week’s stop in Florence, Rob Rinder and Rylan Clark go on a cultural tour of Rome.

Along the way they turn themselves into a painting by Caravaggio, trying to get the classic Grand Tourist look, and aiming to discover the shocking story of the singers known as castrati.

Methinks a clue is in the title.

The Piano, 9.00pm, Channel 4

This week’s episode of the feelgood music contest sees Claudia Winkleman (below), Mika and Lang Lang's search for pianists brings them to Liverpool Lime Street Station.

This is where they discover a call centre manager who raps, meet the infamous Billy the Hat and join in a station sing-a-long.

They also have just one place left for the final concert.

Turtles All the Way Down, Sky Movies & NOW

Isabela Merced, Cree Cicchino, Felix Mallard, Maliq Johnson and Poorna Jagannathan star in director Hannah Marks’ drama.

It tackles anxiety through its 17-year-old protagonist, Aza Holmes.

It's not easy being Aza, but she's trying - trying to be a good daughter, a good friend, and a good student, all while navigating an endless barrage of invasive, obsessive thoughts that she cannot control.

When she reconnects with Davis, her childhood crush, Aza is confronted with fundamental questions about her potential for love, happiness, friendship, and hope.

Sully: Miracle on the Hudson, 9.30pm, RTÉ One

Clint Eastwood's fact-based drama, starring Tom Hanks as the remarkable airline pilot Chesley 'Sully' Sullenberger.

He rose to fame in January 2009 when he safely landed US Airways Flight 1549 in New York's Hudson River after the plane lost all engine power shortly after take-off.

It was an event that pretty much captured the imagination of the world.

The film also stars Aaron Eckhart, Laura Linney and Anna Gunn.

Tenet, 10.00pm, BBC Two

Here’s an ad-free screening of Christopher Nolan's mind-bending fantasy action thriller, starring John David Washington, Kenneth Branagh and Elizabeth Debicki.

A troubleshooter is hired for a high-stakes mission to prevent armageddon.

As he navigates through a world of espionage, Protagonist uncovers a shadowy organisation with the ability to manipulate time.

Racing against the clock, whichever way it's ticking, he must master the concept of "inversion" to thwart the catastrophic future.

Tenet is followed at midnight by Memento, an early Christopher Nolan mind-bender, starring Guy Pearce and Carrie-Anne Moss.

Pearce plays an insurance investigator suffering short-term memory loss after an attack in which his wife was raped and murdered.

Family Flick

A Shaun the Sheep Movie: Farmageddon, 3.15pm, BBC One

This is a fun animated comedy, well worth a look even if you haven’t got a young family, featuring the voices of Justin Fletcher, John Sparkes and Amalia Vitale.

When an alien with amazing powers crash-lands near Mossy Bottom Farm, Shaun the Sheep goes on a mission to shepherd the intergalactic visitor home before a sinister organisation can capture her.

Sport

The Sunday Game Live, 1.30pm, RTÉ2

Galway v Dublin and Limerick v Waterford (with throw-ins at 2pm and 4pm respectively).

Joanne Cantwell presents coverage of the Leinster Senior Hurling Championship match from Pearse Stadium in Galway, where the Tribesmen host the Dubs.

That’s followed by the Munster Senior Hurling Championship contest from TUS Gaelic Grounds, with Liam McCarthy cup holders on home soil against The Deise.
