Ireland's Fresh Film, the organisation "dedicated to supporting and promoting young filmmakers", has been honoured at the Screen International Global Production Awards in Cannes.

Fresh Film, which is based in Limerick, received the Community Impact Award at a ceremony earlier this week.

The winners were chosen by professionals from across the film and television industry.

Jayne Foley, Artistic Director and founder of Fresh Film, said: "Our mission has always been to empower young voices and this award validates our efforts.

"We extend our heartfelt thanks to all the young filmmakers who share their stories with us and continue to inspire us every day."

"Fresh Film continues to champion the next generation of filmmakers and this honour provides a powerful reminder of the importance of creating a community of young filmmakers and supporting their storytelling," she added.
