EastEnders has announced that Doctors star Bharti Patel is set for a guest role in Albert Square.
She will play Maya Houssain and will be on screen next week.
Releasing first-look photos, EastEnders said: "Maya arrives in Walford and sparks an unlikely friendship with cab driver Harvey (Ross Boatman).
"The pair soon bond over their mutual love of football, and Harvey is delighted to make another friend with similar interests after Rocky and Mitch's recent departures."
Patel, best known for playing Ruhma Carter in Doctors, will arrive in Walford in the Wednesday 29 May episode of EastEnders.
EastEnders airs on RTÉ One and BBC One Monday to Thursday at 7:30pm.
