The new track is the follow up to their 2021 single What A Way To Live, with the band's new upcoming album, also entitled Wake Up People, set for release on 18 October.

The new album is their first album of new material since 2001’s Adventura Majestica and will be released on the Sack''s own reactivated Jetset Junta label.

Speaking about their new song, Sack guitarist John Brereton says, "Wake Up People is a song urging everyone to be aware, be active, be kind, be fair and to use our most precious democratic provision; the right to vote, in a lawful, peaceful way."
