Hit comedy series The Young Offenders is returning for a fourth series, set to air on BBC One from Friday 10 May.
Creator and showrunner Peter Foott of Vico Films says, "We're so excited to be bringing all of the team back for the new series of The Young Offenders.
"We've been able to change things up a little bit this time around, but the show is still true to its roots, we wanted to give the fans the same mix of funny storylines that are also heartfelt, so it’s very much the same show with all cast returning.
"Everyone involved is delighted with series four, and we can’t wait for people to see it and be back in the world of The Young Offenders," he said.
The coming-of-age series follows the escapades of lovable rogues Conor (Alex Murphy) and Jock (Chris Walley) as they navigate their awkward teenage years, romance and school.
The show also stars Hilary Rose, Demi Isaac Oviawe, Jennifer Barry, P.J. Gallagher and Shane Casey.
In 2023, despite no new episodes being released, The Young Offenders continued to see strong viewing in the UK with 6.3 million requests to view on the BBC's iPlayer.
Season four is directed by Jamie Jay Johnson.
RTÉ says that it "will confirm the upcoming programming schedule in due course."
