Daniel O'Donnell has teamed up with locals in his hometown of Dungloe, Donegal to shoot a video for Across The Hills of Home, a duet with Scottish singer Brandon McPhee.
The song was written by Scotland’s Eric Bogle, famed for his songs The Green Fields of France and The Band Played Waltzing Matilda.
The video for the track sees Brandon playing his accordion in the street in Dungloe in the hopes of meeting his idol, Daniel.
Brandon goes into a daze and dreams of singing a duet with his hero, with the pair ultimately performing in the streets of Dungloe in front of a large audience.
Speaking about the new song, Daniel says, "I’m delighted to have worked with Brandon on this record, he is a great singer and a wonderful accordionist.
"Brandon asked me to do a record and we found this song, a great song Across the Hills of Home. It was great fun making the video, hopefully everyone enjoys it!"
Daniel has a number of upcoming dates across the country, including shows at the Lyrath Estate Hotel, Kilkenny, the Waterfront Hall, Belfast and the Millennium Forum, Derry.
