There's the Celebrity Big Brother: Live Final, the return of Beyond Paradise and Travel Man, new dystopian drama Helgoland, and the last-ever episodes of How to with John Wilson . . .
Pick of the Day
Celebrity Big Brother: Live Final, 9.00pm, Virgin Media Two/UTV
Will Louis Walsh win? I’m sure Jedward will be throwing darts at their telly and cheering on everyone else.
My personal favourite is Fern 'Commando’ Britton.
The famous faces entered the house on March 4, and there have been plenty of dramatic fireworks since then, but everything that’s happened so far has led up to this finale.
AJ Odudu and Will Best (above) announce the person who will become ITV's first Celebrity Big Brother winner, and also look back at some of their best bits.
The six remaining celebrities are Louis Walsh (71), dancer Nikita Kuzmin (26), Coronation Street actor Colson Smith (25), television presenter and author Fern Britton (66), reality TV star David Potts (30), and actor Bradley Riches (22).
New or Returning Shows
Helgoland 513, 9.00pm, Sky Atlantic
From Sky Deutchland comes a new dystopian drama series.
It’s 2036 and Helgoland has become the last safe haven for humanity.
A small community of survivors are entrenched on Germany's only deep-sea island following an apocalypse that has thrown the rest of the world into chaos.
A totalitarian society is established, tolerating only 513 people on the island at any one time.
The survivors trapped on the island have limited resources to share and an inhumane social-ranking system determines the lives of each of the 513 inhabitants.
Helgoland’s only doctor is high on the priority list, whilst others are far behind and have to fight for a better place and their ultimate survival.
But they face another threat from the outside. On the mainland, a group of rebels are preparing to conquer the island and disrupt the last safe place for mankind.
Beyond Paradise, 8.00pm, BBC One
The crime solving sequel, starring Kris Marshall, Sally Bretton and Zahra Ahmadi, returns for a new run.
Humphrey and Esther join the Shipton Abbott Players for a murder mystery rehearsal.
Though Humphrey is only playing a detective, things turn from amateur to professional when the actor playing the victim is found dead with a real knife in his back.
As the duo tackle the perplexing crime, they soon unravel a dark past that reveals hidden connections between the actors.
Away from the case, Humphrey and Martha embark on becoming foster parents. Meanwhile Anne ventures into the world of online dating.
Travel Man: 48 Hours in Trieste, 8.30pm, Channel 4
As the series returns, Joe Lycett (below) is joined by Alan Davies to sample an action-packed weekend in Trieste, northern Italy.
Trieste is famous for the Bora, the north-easterly wind said to shape the city and its inhabitants.
Joe and Alan discover this at the Wind Museum, where curator Rino presides over a collection of wind samples donated from all over the world.
A few miles north the pair enjoy a food and fizz pairing in the village of Prosecco. Fortunately, they're in the right place for hangovers as Trieste is Italy's caffeine capital.
No minibreak is complete without learning a new skill to brag about when you get home, so Joe and Alan attend a painting class.
Don’t Miss
How to with John Wilson,11.05pm, BBC Two
This and The Dog House are the two essential TV shows for these increasingly crazy times. One warms your heart and the other warps your mind.
Sadly, tonight’s double episodes are the last, as the series ends after three hilarious and eccentric seasons seeing life through John Wilson’s lens.
First up is How to Watch Birds. After realising too much of his life is spent inside, John Wilson tries out birding, which opens a world of possibility, and dubious claims.
That’s followed by How to Track Your Package. After having a delivery stolen, John Wilson investigates how to keep his packages secure.
