Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds are set to play their first Irish date since 2017 as part of The Wild God Tour, which will see them take to the stage across 17 countries kicking off in Germany this September.
The alternative rock outfit will play the 3Arena Dublin on 12 November 2024. Special guests Black Country, New Road will play support. Tickets go on sale on Friday 22 March at 10am from Ticketmaster and nickcave.com.
In a statement, Cave said: "I never think about how a record is going to go live, it never, ever occurs to me. The lyric writing process is way too hard to take ideas like that into consideration. But, when I listen to Wild God now, I think we can really do something epic with these songs live. We're really excited about that - the record just feels like it was made for the stage."
The tour commences on 24 September in Oberhausen, Germany and will end in Paris, France on 17 November. It follows the release of their 18th studio album Wild God on 30 August. The new album was announced last week alongside the release of the title track.
Cave was last seen in Ireland at the funeral for his close friend Shane MacGowan, who died last November, during which he gave a stirring rendition of A Rainy Night In Soho.
Writing in The Guardian Cave said MacGowan "had something that we lesser writer have to work hard to even get close to. An effortless, God-given talent."
