Pick of the Day

The Irish for Sex, 10.15pm, RTÉ One

Streaming on RTÉ Player

Here’s something a bit different.

It’s a new series hosted by comedian Bláithín de Burca (below), who searches nationwide to find words for women's bodies and sexuality in Gaeilge.

And I don’t think they mean terms such as 'cailín deas álainn’.

Anyway, along the way de Burca explores the Irish language of the past, present and even the future to find women's words in the hopes of unlocking a uniquely Irish experience of womanhood.

Featuring interviews with guests, including Manchán Magan, Dr Sharon Arbuthnot of Cambridge University and – erm - The Wild Geeze.

Now, what’s the Irish for ‘blimey’?

Girls5eva Season 3, Netflix

Sara Bareilles, Renée Elise Goldsberry, Paula Pell and Busy Philipps return for a third run of the comedy series about a one-hit-wonder girl group from the late ‘90s who reunite to give their pop star dreams one more shot.

Dawn, Wickie, Summer, and Gloria have reunited and recorded a new album, Returnity, so it’s time for the next logical step: a comeback tour.

With no plan, tour manager, or venues secured, the ladies pile into a van and hit the great unknown, doing their damnedest to promote their album and get back on top.

In the process, Girls5eva will grapple with life on the road, see their relationships tested, play a billionaire’s birthday party, sow their oats, and confront parents they believe held them back.

They’ll also cross paths with the biggest pop star on the planet, and question if they really want ‘the big time’ again.

Invincible Season 2, Prime Video

The adult animated series returns.

Based on the groundbreaking comic book by Robert Kirkman, Cory Walker, and Ryan Ottley, the story revolves around 18-year-old Mark Grayson, who’s just like every other guy his age - except his father is (or was) the most powerful superhero on the planet.

Still reeling from Nolan’s betrayal in Season One, Mark struggles to rebuild his life as he faces a host of new threats, all while battling his greatest fear - that he might become his father without even knowing it.
