This highlight is dedicated to anyone who spends the day trying to avoid Oscar news so they watch this highlights show without learning the major results.

As anyone who’s ever sat through the entire show live – some of our lot watch it every year to keep you lot informed – it’s quite a long one. When the highlights are two hours long etc.

Here are the best moments from last night's 96th Academy Awards ceremony, hosted by Jimmy Kimmel at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood.

New or Returning Shows

Accused: The Hampstead Paedophile Hoax, 9.00pm, Channel 4

Here’s a documentary telling the story of four mothers in north London who were falsely accused of being part of a Satanic cult operating out of their children's primary school.

The allegations plagued the lives of the accused, setting off an eight-year battle for justice during which screaming demonstrators chased a priest through Hampstead.

There was also a US conspiracy theorist flew to London to visit the school, and lengthy legal battles ended with a 74-year-old German pensioner receiving a record sentence for online trolling and harassment.

As the old Doors’ song goes, people are strange.

Snow Going Back: Comic Relief vs the Arctic, 9.00pm, BBC One

Laura Whitmore (below), Alex Scott, Sara Davis and Vicky Pattison take part in Comic Relief's coldest ever challenge, attempting a 50km sub-zero Arctic expedition in just four days.

Before they depart the Norwegian city of Tromso, the team is given training by the Royal Marines who are on exercise in the area.

The celebrities begin their challenge with a cultural send-off from the local Sami tribe, who sing a traditional song known as a Yoik to wish the team good luck.

Is University Really Worth It? 9.00pm, BBC Two

Should be interesting to see how the UK university experience compares to Ireland’s.

Comedian and former teacher Geoff Norcott (above) investigates Britain's higher education sector to find out if doing a degree is still worth it.

Geoff hears from students who feel the university experience they were sold ended up being a nightmare, and meets graduates locked in legal battles with their universities as well as struggling students having to survive off food banks.

Kayak ó Thuaidh, 10.00pm, BBC Two

Novice kayakers Tessa Fleming and Irial Ó Ceallaigh join expert paddler John Hubbocks on an epic journey along the northern coast of Ireland.

Tessa and Irial undergo difficult training sessions on the shores of Co Down before beginning their adventure in the tranquil quay in Bunbeg in north-west Co Donegal.

Then they head out to Gabhla island, where Tessa learns about its sombre abandonment and the encouraging signs of a brighter future for returnees. In Irish.

Sam is under pressure to pay for boiler repairs and discovers that Zein stole from him. Zein hoped to repay Sam with his big acting gig, but he doesn't get it.

He also forgets to give Nancy her epilepsy medicine and she has a fit at school

In episode six at 9.30pm, the start of Ramadan sees Sam have his first day in a writers' room, Lina misses her audition for drama school, Zein leaves to take a big gig in the US, while Sam repairs his relationship with Lina.

Curb Your Enthusiasm, 9.00pm, Sky Comedy

The final season of Larry David's sitcom continues.

This week's episode focuses on Susie, Jeff's wife who always seems set on a collision course with Larry.

Meanwhile, Larry tries to make his trips to the toilet a little more efficient.

The Trials of Oppenheimer, 10.00pm, BBC Four

Here’s a documentary that should show how realistic the Christopher Nolan Oppenheimer movie and Cillian Murphy’s portrayal of scientist J Robert Oppenheimer.

Zoe Wanamaker narrates this film documenting the rise and fall of the director of the project that developed the first atomic bomb.

He later tried to prevent a nuclear arms race in his role with the Atomic Energy Commision, but his stance made him many political enemies and he was later put on trial for supposed communist sympathies.

The events are told through dramatic re-creation and expert testimony, with David Strathairn taking the role of Oppenheimer.

Mastermind, 7.30pm, BBC Two

Clive Myrie presents the fourth semi-final of the classic quiz where contenders return to the black chair under the glare of the spotlight and the ticking clock to win a place in the grand final.

The specialist subjects are the actor Peter Cushing, the history of percussion instruments, the television series The Sarah Jane Adventures and football legend Bobby Robson.

New to Stream

Young Royals, Netflix

Season 3 sees Prince Wilhelm (Edvin Ryding) arriving at the prestigious boarding school Hillerska where he finally gets an opportunity to explore his true self and find out what kind of life he really wants.
