Eugene Levy returns as The Reluctant Traveler, the great How To with John Wilson is back for a new run, while Shania Twain and Johnny Cash both feature on a kind-of country night on BBC Four . . .
Pick of the Day
The Reluctant Traveler, Apple TV+
"After experiencing season one, I've come to realize it's true what they say about travel broadening the mind - and I guess my mind could still take some broadening.
"So I'm packing my suitcase once again and looking forward - with a healthy dose of trepidation - to whatever adventures lie in store.
"Here's to trying new things - well, within reason," says host and executive producer Eugene Levy.
The second season will follow Levy through Europe as he visits some beautiful and intriguing destinations, uncovering hidden local gems and staying in remarkable and unique hotels along the way.
It includes preparing for Midsummer in Swedish tradition with a moose-tracking adventure, as well as visiting his mother's childhood homeland of Scotland for the first time.
He’ll be dining with a luminary and taking a bite out of French cuisine in Saint-Tropez, embracing wellness with a hay bath under German thatched roofs on the island of Sylt.
There’s a Greek fishing expedition around Milos, learning medieval customs and harvesting grapes in Italy, and playing football with an iconic Spanish star in Seville.
Nice work etc.
