Tom Vaughan-Lawlor back in cinemas this month in true story thriller Baltimore

Tom Vaughan-Lawlor (Love/Hate, The Infiltrator) stars opposite Imogen Poots (Vivarium, Green Room) in Baltimore, the new film based on the true story of Provisional IRA member Rose Dugdale.

Directed by Christine Molloy and Joe Lawlor (Rose Plays Julie, The Future Tense, Helen), Baltimore opens in Irish cinemas on Friday 22 March.

The synopsis for Baltimore reads: "Debutante Rose Dugdale (Imogen Poots) enjoys a life of wealth and privilege, but her rebellious nature soon leads her down a militant path.

"Amongst the political turmoil of the 1970s, her sympathy towards the IRA's conflict evolves into radicalisation, culminating in an armed raid on an Irish estate with three comrades.

"However, when her simple heist turns violent, is Rose prepared to face the devastating consequences?"

Baltimore also stars Lewis Brophy, Jack Meade, Patrick Martins, Dermot Crowley, Andrea Irvine, John Kavanagh, Flynn Gray, Martha Breen, Carrie Crowley, Simon Coury and Vanessa Ifediora.

The film is backed by Fís Éireann/Screen Ireland in association with Coimisiún na Meán and RTÉ.
